How Can You Prepare for Travelling?
Travel
Most of 2020 saw travel restrictions and self-isolation due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
However, the arrival of summer is traditionally a popular time for family vacations.
If you are unsure what to include in your first aid kit, your pharmacist can help make recommendations. A copy of your medical history should be included as it can be helpful in case of an emergency, listing blood type, immunization record, doctor information, allergies, and emergency contact information.
Now that you have done your research and planning and have decided to travel, continue to practise preventative measures that you have become familiar with during the pandemic:
- Wash your hands often – use proper handwashing techniques with soap and water for at least 20 seconds or use antiseptic hand cleaners when soap and water is not available
- Try not to touch your face, eyes, nose or mouth
- Cough and sneeze into your elbow or sleeve
- Social distancing with others who are not part of your household
Speak to your medical professional or pharmacist for more information.
